Just a quick entry this time to let our readers know about a new book out by Omnibucket’s own contributor and regular Ology columnist, Rebecca Brock. Here’s my official take:
Brock’s latest work, ‘Abominations’ is near 250 pages of deftly crafted horror fiction
with a central theme of living (or not) in a world populated by the relentless and hungry undead.
Easily among the best of its genre, Brock’s twelve tales of anthropophagous mayhem do more than deliver blood and guts storytelling in an effortless and near cinematic style. They resonate on a psychological level that will have you lo
Abominationsoking once over your shoulder, and twice at the seemingly mundane moments of daily life long after you’ve devoured their content.
I’ve been a fan of Brock’s work since the appearance of her ‘Black Days’ tales in Bookgasm’s 2006 Best Independent Book of the Year, “Brainchild… A Collection of Artifacts”.
It is great to finally see a collection of her dark art amassed in one place like the very creatures she describes with such chilling detail.
Without hesitation, I’d recommend this book in either option; hardcopy paperback or digital download. Both are available here: http://stores.lulu.com/becksbooks
