Where'd you find us?

it was a time of new adventures for me. I had just met this girl through a friend of mine (they went to school together) and we were hanging out after - not Comfest, but that smaller one that’s held at Mirror lake..can’t remember the name - and my good friend Jones (or Ian as you may prefer) said (for the 50th time) “you gotta check out this band Wigglypussy, they have a show next weekend, you wanna go?” I had listened to the band maybe once before, but it was just playing in the background, and I think I was high at the time and not really paying attention. I looked at Dee (that was the girl) and said “you wanna check em out?” she was all for it.

the next weekend finally comes around (it was such a long week as Dee was going to school at Wittenberg, so I didn’t see her all week), but at long last, it was Friday. so Dee came back to Columbus, we met up with Jones (probably at my place) and off we went to MadLab. now it just so happened, that I had been to a party - a rave - at the MadLab earlier that year, so I was already a little excited to go back there again, and that mixed with seeing Dee again after being deprived all week made for a really great start to the night. We paid our money to get in (well, Jones might not have) waited around for a little bit, then the show began. It was the first Wiggle-Yak show, and it was AMAZING. for what seemed like forever, or could’ve been minutes for all I was entranced it was non-stop music back and forth between the two bands, before the last note of one band was finished, the next would start. a truly amazing experience.

from that day on I was forever a fan.
